27 charged with purchasing stolen credit cards to buy Apple products.

report has surfaced stating that in New York, 27 individuals have been charged with buying stolen credit cards then buying Apple products resulting in them selling on the black market. They spent over $1 million in buying Apple products between June 2008 and December 2010. They believe the credit cards were purchased online from Eastern Europe.
A little more elaborate than the traditional smash and grab but in the end it still failed.
