A report is stating that Apple plans on selling a smaller, cheaper iPhone for $200 without signing a contract. Their source has seen a prototype but asked not to be identified.
The smaller iPhone will be two thirds the size of the current iPhone and use older hardware to keep the cost down.
It will incorporate the Qualcomm chip found in the Verizon iPhone 4, to allow you to choose which carrier you would like to use.
As always, Apple declined to comment.
