A report has surfaced stating that iPhone apps that work fine on AT&T’s iPhone aren’t working so great on the Verizon iPhone. Now before you panic, it has to do with apps that are looking for certain hardware such as GPS.
Telenav for instance has a Verizon and AT&T version. They’ve gone on to say that they had to do this to make it work with the new hardware. They did not get very specific but said it had to do with GSM and CDMA signals and the GPS.
Their will most likely be/probably is a way to detect what hardware to look for, but with that Qualcomm chip, the iPhone 5 may not need it and will figure it out on its own.
Least it’s not Android fragmentation.
