Verizon customers dumping their Droids for the iPhone 4.

A report states that trade-in company Gazelle is reporting that since the announcement of the Verizon iPhone, they have received thousands of Verizon Droid phone trade-ins. The level of trade-ins climbed even higher during the pre-order period.

AT&T iPhone trade-ins bumped up 20% but that isn’t nearly as much as the Droid. The report concludes:
The data suggests that current Verizon subscribers are ditching their Droid phones in favor of the iPhone while AT&T customers take longer to debate a possible switch. AT&T subscribers may be waiting to see how Verizon’s network handles the influx of iPhone users, says Ganot. AT&T users may also want to see how Apple upgrades the iPhone this summer and whether that refreshed device will be available on Verizon or just AT&T. The different on-sale dates Verizon set for subscribers versus non-subscribers probably affected trade-in times, as well, by pushing Verizon users to make an early decision about the iPhone.
Anyone make the switch? Hopefully all your apps work and you didn’t want the white iPhone.
