Apple to revamp MobileMe. iTunes streaming, personal “locker” and will be free.

report is stating that Apple’s MobileMe service will be revamped and will include its usual service of syncing calendars and email as well as adding a personal “locker” for personal memorabilia (photos, music, video), iTunes streaming and the $99 price will drop to $0.
Apple wanted to have iTunes streaming ready last year according to the report, but was unable to get the licensing finalized in time. It is still not known if all will be finalized by the time Apple wants it to launch.
You will also be able to (finally) sync your iTunes library without use of a cable. It is not said though if it will be needed for backups but at this point it is safe to assume so.
This could be the preliminary steps into the earlier rumored “Media Stream” Apple plans to use to compete with social networking giant Facebook. Media Stream is predicted to be a service where you will be able to automatically upload pictures, music and video instantly after taking them to a cloud storage service provided by Apple. You will then be able to access them at any time and using other Apple services, such as AirPlay, to share and display them.
