Nokia CEO Stephen Elop sent out a memo to all Nokia employees talking about how far behind they are in the smartphone race. Here’s an excerpt:
The first iPhone shipped in 2007, and we still don’t have a product that is close to their experience. Android came on the scene just over 2 years ago, and this week they took our leadership position in smartphone volumes. Unbelievable.
Elop is Nokia’s new CEO that just left Microsoft to run the company. Could he turn Nokia around? Or are the leaders too far ahead. Read the full, great memo here.
